Home coach card
The nudge on the home screen that asks the owner to count their cash. It's a routine, helpful prompt — so it should feel like help, not an alarm.
Existing screen. A card with a tall, empty orange gradient banner, the title "Verify Your Cash," a line that reads "…estimated at $100.00, but you haven't performed a physical count yet," and an orange "Count Now" button.
Proposed screen. The real CoachMessage: the sparkle Coach mark, a
friendly grounded line, the estimate shown as a labelled stat, and a primary
"Count cash" beside a quiet "Not now." (It's live.)
What changed.
- The tall empty orange banner is gone — the card is only as tall as its message.
- Warning-orange became the coach's own identity — the sparkle mark on a calm surface. Orange is reserved for actual warnings.
- The buried "$100.00" became a rounded local figure surfaced as a stat (Ks 8,400), with a second stat — last counted — for context.
- "You haven't performed a physical count yet" (passive, blaming) became "you haven't counted today — a 20-second count keeps them accurate" (the reason and the payoff).
- A visible "Not now" sits beside the action, so deferring isn't only a tiny ✕.
Why it changed. This is a nudge, not an emergency. A full orange banner reads as "something is wrong," raising the temperature of an ordinary reconciliation — and the banner itself is pure decoration that shoves the real message halfway down the card. Wearing the Coach mark, the same ask feels like the assistant helping, which is what earns the tap. Grounding the number as a stat and saying why it matters turns a chore into an obvious win.
Which rule applies.
- Colour roles — orange/amber is for warnings; a coaching nudge wears the AI Coach mark on a calm surface.
- No decorative empty space — every band earns its height; a banner with nothing in it just delays the message.
- Ground advice in the user's number — show the figure as a stat, not buried in a sentence.
- Copy states the reason and the payoff — it never blames the user.
- Give a visible, low-emphasis dismiss — not only a tiny ✕.
User outcome. The owner reads a calm, specific nudge — what it's about, the number, and why it helps — and either counts or taps "Not now," instead of being met with an orange alarm for a routine check.
Edge case fixed. Already counted recently. The "Last counted" stat tells the owner whether the count is even worth doing right now, instead of nagging with no context — and if it was just done, the nudge shouldn't appear at all.
A coaching nudge wears the Coach mark, not a warning colour. Reserve amber/orange for real warnings, ground the ask in the user's own number, say why it helps, and always offer a quiet "Not now."
